Ziva's Crib

Here is a little video of the two of us putting together Ziva's crib. Would like to give a special shout out to Grandma Vicky for giving us the crib and the bedding. Now it's time to sit back and enjoy the crazy antics of Chantal and Chris. :-)

Happy V Day!

These are the cupcakes I made for my cupcake for his special day!

He does not know about them yet, so shhhh. We are not doing much for the "Hallmark holiday," as we have so much work to do in order to prepare for the great arrival! By the great arrival I mean both sets of parents, and sisters, oh - and Ziva!

We are going to see Friday the 13th with Chris Blum. Nothing better than a scary movie to push a woman into your arms! Too bad for my husband I am not scared easily and am more likely to push him down and run! haha.

Well anyway, I hope everyone has a great weekend and make yourself some cupcakes!

Mmmmm.... cupcakes.

Love you all

Other furry family members

This is Hannibal

He was with my sister and her husband for ten years, but recently passed from a tumor in his heart. But what a heart he had! He was a big lover boy, and will never be forgotten.

The newest members of my sisters family

These two little girls are Mimmi and Lillie, Not which one is which! Too cute, and they keep my sister busy (as you can imagine).

This is Kelly.

She is my parents little girl. Don't let this picture trick you, she is no where near as docile as she looks. She can rough house with the best of 'em!

This is Breaca.

AKA "Little Man," "Breaca Face," "Jerk Face"

Depending on what he is doing at that moment. This is my little bro! He rocks - you can see by his face that he thinks he is the biggest baddest dog the west has ever seen! I wonder if anyone told him how goofy he looks in that scarf?

Here we have Frisky.

Once again, do not let his name mislead you, It took him years to even squeek a ball when he came to our family. Kelly went to the shelter and picked him out all by herself! They have been friends ever after.

One last picture of the new puppies for a two reasons... they are cuter than heck, and cause my brother is in this picture. I am sure he will curse me for this posting this!

LOVE YOU JIM! :-D

Now for something a little more toothy...

These are the dogs of the house, lucky for us all there are only three!

This is Junior.

He is the most nervous member of our family. He spends way too much time worrying about running things, little does he notice - the women are taking over! Junior is a character (aren't all Cockers?) he tries to protect all toys from the various assaults by Thrall, usually to no avail. They end up gutted anyway.

Speaking of Thrall...

I am not even sure how to describe Thrall. He is a dog that thinks he is a cat. Here he sits in a cat play area, looking back with cat toy in mouth as if to say, "What do you mean I don't fit?!" He is one funny young man, and always keeps the other animals on their paws. Being the largest dog we hang with, he somehow always seems to find a spot on our queen size bed...on my side :-(

Saving the best for last, This is Kasha.

I am sure being in her life for 15 years has made me slightly biased, but if Ayah is the princess, Kasha is undoubtedly the QUEEN! She has always acted accordingly, refusing to engage in any behavior she deems beneath her. Since Chris has happened into her life, she's chosen to bestow her most lavish praise upon him... and NO ONE else. I took the first picture because if you look closely, she is cuddling with her daddy's slipper, pathetic! (I'm NOT envious!). She has been sick lately with liver damage, and severely low blood cell and platelet counts. She is slowly on the mend, and runs around like she is a sprightly ten years old again! :-)

Keep your eyes posted for future posts about extended furry family members, and there a lot of them! Including goats, horses, and my Auntie even claims geese and roosters as family members! If you would like to share your furry family with everyone we would be honored to put a mug shot up here for you. Just email it to Chris or myself and give us a bit of story to it, and we will take care of the rest. :-)

Family members of the furry purrrrsuasion

Where to begin? So many animals so little space!

The felines -

This is Jasper.

He is the sensitive one in the family. Very good natured and always looking to please, which usually translates into him being beaten up by the other cats :-(

And this is Morris.

He is as stuck up as he looks here, and he is a handful! Opens unlocked doors, and his newest trick is walking along the upstairs banister!

This young man is Minnie Mo (AKA Minner).

He is the studious one of the clan, as he spends the majority of his time sitting quietly watching everything and everyone around him. Potential criminal or thoughtful intellectual? Only time will tell...

Here we have Rhaine (pronounced rain or wren depending the day).

He is the lion of the family. He loves to bring us mice (stuffed of course) and he torments everyone! No one likes playing with him as he has a sadistic streak. Even though he is trying to look innocent here, you can see the underlying tendencies in this one!

As the trumpets blare, let me introduce - Ayah!!!!!!!! (Arabic for miracle)

Chris saw her in Petco and fell head over heals for this girl, as does everyone who meets her. Being a bit more removed than Chris, I wasn't sold on ANOTHER cat. Am I glad Chris usually gets his way, hehe.

A short tale of the princess -

She was found in a vacant lot paralyzed from the waste down, with serious neurological damage. She was taken to the vet and nursed back to health. The rescue organization tried to adopt her out; but alas, no one wanted to take on a cat who was sure to have future medical issues. They were going to put her down in three days! I decided we had room for one more cat. She has changed this family for the best and has become the star everywhere she goes! She has slowly begun using her tale more and more, to the point that when you call her name out her tails flops around in a vain attempt at "happy tail." The only issue we have found with her is if there is a box inside the house, it belongs to her. There is even a song in her honor...next time you speak with Chris ask him to sing it for you.

p.s. - yes mom, that is the box of clothes you sent for Ziva. Ayah saw it and claimed it as her own. It took me a few days to find a suitable replacement for her to rule from!
